Nexenta: Cloud Native Storage NexentaCloud

Nexenta Systems, Inc. launched NexentaCloud, a product family of cloud native storage solutions.

Designed and built as an organic extension of the company’s Open SDS solution, this family of solutions allows user to extend the benefits of the company’s solution onto the cloud. The first product to be announced is NexenaCloud available in AWS Marketplace.

NexentaCloud for Amazon Web Services (AWS) allows enterprises to run their core business applications, which utilize file and block storage native to AWS, while integrating with on premises solutions. Offering enterprise features such as snapshots, cloning, thin provisioning and data compression, it delivers a storage solution that supports business-critical functions including BC and self-service test/development.

The company’s integrated software-only ‘open source’ collaboration is shaking up the storage market with more than 2,000PB of storage under management. NexentaCloud is 100% software-based and supported with enterprise support.
