Adata XPG Gammix S11 M.2 2280 Gaming SSD
240, 480, and 960GB, with PCIe3x4 interface delivering up to 3,200MB/s and 1,700MB/s RW
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on April 9, 2018 at 2:17 pmAdata Technology Co., Ltd. launched the XPG GAMMIX S11, a gaming SSD.
It arrives in a M.2 2280 form factor, is equipped with a heatsink to maintain optimal temperatures and sports the PCIe3x4 interface to deliver up to 3,200MB/s read and 1,700MB/s write – which is for performance seekers, including gamers, PC DIY enthusiasts and graphics professionals.
It employs the 2nd generation 64-layer 3D NAND flash for improved reliability and ships in capacities of 240, 480, and 960GB.
Fast – Made for professionals
Leveraging the PCIe Gen3x4 interface and the NVMe 1.3 protocol, the S11 offers an improvement in R/W performance. It implements a 32bit DRAM data bus, intelligent SLC caching, and a DRAM cache buffer, accelerating sequential and 4K random R/W speeds. It can reach speeds of up to 3,200MB/s for reads and 1,700MB/s for writes and 310,000/280,000 IO/s random 4K R/Ws for faster boot, shorter game loads, and system response time. In addition, XPG’s custom-designed heatsink ensures temperatures are at least 10°C (1) lower than non-shielded M.2 SSDs, providing enhanced stability and longevity.
Rugged durability is strongest backup
Utilizing 2nd generation 64-layer 3D NAND Flash, S11 is reliable, faster performing, and longer lasting. It also supports RAID engine and Data Shaping for reliability and stability. To ensure data integrity and accuracy, it is equipped with LDPC error correction, which helps to fix more errors than BCH ECC during data transfers. With these technologies the S11 provides durability and has a two-million-hour MTBF rating. Like all XPG SSDs, the S11 is backed by an extended five-year warranty.
(1) This claim is based on testing done on CrystalDiskinfo and conducted under normal R/W conditions. Test results may vary depending on usage environment and heat dissipation conditions.
