NetDrive systems, in their 4th generation, are an archiving devices for transferring files to LTO tapes. They can be used standalone without an external computer or as devices attached to a network and are available with RAID storage and multiple 1/10GbE connections.

Features include:

  • Rack configuration for up to four LTO drives, providing more R/W flexibility for backups or migration from one generation of LTO to another. This is in addition to the previously available rack and tower for up to two LTO drives.

  • Support of dual drives in the portable configuration (previously only one drive was supported).

  • Support of LTO-8 drives in addition to LTO-7, LTO-6 or LTO-5 drives.

The ThunderTape 3 archiving device for a Macintosh, connected via a Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt 3 connection, is a portable LTO device available with dual drives. The device is for an individual user or small post-facility wanting a simple way to connect a tape drive to an existing Macintosh for cost-effective LTO backup solution.
