This version was released on December 20 for both Windows and Linux and includes many refinements, bug fixes, new features and updated versions of many of the core programs. These include Active@KillDisk 11, Undelete 12, Partition Recovery 16, Password Changer 8 and Disk Editor 7. Major improvements include support for dynamic volumes and LVM in the partition management utility, and there’s now an installer contained within the Linux archive.

Securing data with Active@LiveCD
Did you know that deleting data by conventional means doesn’t make any difference other than mark the previously occupied space as available? This is something you need to think about if you’re planning to recycle, donate or decommission old storage devices. Backup and DR made easy
Active@LiveCD also provides a last line of defense against lost data or malicious software attacks by way of Active@Undelete, which you can use to recovery deleted files. You can also backup an entire system by making a byte-by-byte copy that includes your OS, all your applications and personal files. This is particularly useful when replacing your system HDD or transferring your OS over to another computer.
