Continuum Expands Backup and DR Platform to AsiaPac Service Providers

With addition of data center in Sydney, Australia

Continuum Managed Services LLC, a provider of the vertically integrated IT service delivery platform that enables MSPs to scale rapidly, announced that its backup and DR offering, BDR, is available in the AsiaPac market.

The expansion of BDR, supported by the IBM Cloud data center in Sydney, Australia, brings a reliable and cost-effective backup and DR (BDR) solution on the market to IT service providers in the region.

Reliable BDR is critical for BC. In the event of a cyberattack, infrastructure failure or adverse weather, companies rely on their service providers’ BDR solutions to bring their IT backup and running, while minimizing costly downtime and data loss. BDR gives providers the confidence that their clients’ data is protected and can be recovered, backed by a committed to investing and improving its solutions.

BDR empowers IT service providers with the technology and tools to protect all client data with a unified platform, supported by Continuum’s network operations center (NOC) and offering integration with company’s solution suite and other IT management tools. With BDR, providers have a single source for data protection, from which they can deploy any combination of BDR – local, cloud or hybrid – to fit their clients’ environments.

As with Continuum’s entire product portfolio, BDR has been designed to allow providers to maximize their resources and focus on revenue-generating initiatives by minimizing the time required to manage their environments. And, by giving providers the ability to offer flexible, customized BDR environments to their clients, the platform opens up new opportunities for profitability.

AsiaPac service providers can look to their North American counterparts to see the benefits of a flexible, cost-effective BDR solution.

Continuum BDR has allowed us to reallocate internal resources that were previously spending their time verifying backups, troubleshooting failures or responding to other issues,” said Ethan Tancredi, president, MySherpa. “We can now rely on Continuum’s tools and personnel to complete these tasks, and our engineers are operating more efficiently, focused on driving more value for our customers.

IT service providers have often found it difficult to offer robust BC services while maintaining a healthy profit margin,” said Frank Bauer, director of sales, APAC, Continuum. “That’s because reliable BDR solutions designed for service providers have been hard to come by. Continuum BDR allows providers to scale their BC services and centralize their BDR solution, lowering their TCO and serving a wide array of client environments. We’re pleased to expand our leading BDR platform to partners in the AsiaPac as part of our growing expansion in the region.

BDR is available to providers in the AsiaPac region.
