IBM Integrated Analytics System enables new multi-rack configurations and tiered storage

IBM Integrated Analytics System is an unified hardware and software data warehouse and data science solution.

It offers high performance and accelerated development and deployment for your data scientists and analysts.

It includes the IBM Data Science Experience. It is cloud-ready to support hybrid workload deployments using the IBM Common SQL Engine.

New in this release are models that support the following:
. Multi-rack configurations
. Tiered storage options that enable hot, active data to reside on high-performance flash storage and cooling, older data to reside on high-capacity HDDs

Integrated Analytics System offers two types of racks:
. Compute rack: A maximum of seven IBM Power8 technology-based servers and three IBM Flash900 storage arrays.
. Tiered storage rack (optional): Additional high-capacity storage capabilities with the multi-temperature tiered storage option. The system can manage the most recently used and active hot data directly on high-performance storage, while less active cooling data resides on cost-efficient, high-density storage.
