Healthcare Providers Rely on Modern Data Platforms to Support Patient Data
Meditech customer Salinas Valley Memorial Health System (SVMHS), located in central California, was an early adopter of Meditech on Pure. SVMHS had a need for a new storage platform to support its Meditech environment.

We learned that certification of Meditech on Pure Storage was imminent, and we felt Pure was a vendor we should consider,” said Audrey Parks, CIO, Salinas Valley Memorial Health System.

SVMHS implemented Pure in late 2016.

The performance is rock-solid, and my technical teams have nothing but good things to say about the technology. We know that faster storage will make a big difference to our IT staff and clinicians,” said Parks.

SVMHS also took advantage of the joint certification with Commvault’s EHR Data Protection solution to update its backup and DR capabilities.

We selected Commvault and Pure Storage as the best solution, because it was a good fit not just for Meditech, but also for our enterprise applications,” said Parks. “The close integration between Commvault and Pure Storage is a real benefit.

The certification of Pure Storage with Commvault’s backup and DR solution for Meditech represents a leap forward in performance for customers,” said Ananth Balasubramanian, GM, Commvault’s healthcare solutions group. “Commvault and Pure’s joint health system customers will have state-of-the art data management solutions that ensure they are well prepared for the future and the ever growing amount of patient data.
