Optical storage system divider based draw verification
By Francis Pelletier | March 7, 2018 at 2:41 pmOracle International Corporation, Redwood Shores, CA, has been assigned a patent (9,899,055) developed by Wang, Lingtao, Broomfield, CO, Wilson, Scott D., Thornton, CO, Lundstrom, Forrest, Westminster, CO, Mahnad, Faramarz, Brookline, MA, and Fienberg, Matthew C., Northborough, MA, for an “optical storage system divider based draw verification.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “An optical storage system includes an optical head and controller arrangement. The arrangement is configured to write data to an optical medium via a higher power main beam, to read, directly after writing, feedback from the medium containing the written data and noise resulting from the higher power main beam, to remove the noise from the feedback by dividing the feedback with data indicative of the higher power main beam, and to generate output indicative of the written data.”
