Pivot3 in Deeper Partnerships With Zerto, VMware and Redington Value

To support wider range of use cases on single infrastructure, including BC, workforce mobility and business analytics applications

Pivot3, Inc., in hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) performance and technology, expanded its technology partnerships with Zerto Ltd, VMware, Inc. and Redington Value.

These broadening partnerships bring new capabilities to Pivot3’s customers by supporting a wider range of use cases on a single infrastructure, including BC, workforce mobility and business analytics applications.

Through its expanded partnership with Zerto, in IT resilience, Zerto will be supported across Pivot3’s entire range of solutions.

  • VMware Horizon 7, the platform for virtual desktops and applications, is now available on Pivot3.
  • Redington Value, VAD across Middle East and Africa, is now offering Pivot3 with Splunk to support enterprise IT security and analytics use cases.

Businesses are turning to HCI to support their most critical IT initiatives, and we’re thrilled to partner with leaders like Zerto, VMware and Redington Value to bring greater capabilities to customers running BC, workforce mobility and business analytics applications on Pivot3 HCI,” said Mike Koponen, Pivot3 senior director of product and solutions marketing. “Pivot3’s HCI solutions enable broader application workload consolidation on a single infrastructure with the highest levels of resilience and guaranteed performance delivery, allowing customers to reduce their datacenter costs by supporting more VMs, more users and more transactions with less infrastructure.”

Pivot3 has grown its technology partner program to bring high-performance HCI to a broader set of use cases. Recent lab validation testing revealed that compared to other leading HCI solutions, it delivers greater performance, increased density and faster response times with less hardware, allowing businesses to gain near-real-time decision making, increase end-user satisfaction, and lower the TCO.

Following the launch, Pivot3 saw the sales pipeline for its Acuity HCI platform increase by more than 250% from Q3 to Q4 2017, with nearly 60% of the company’s 2017 revenue coming from large enterprise and Fortune 1000 companies.

Supporting Enterprise IT Resilience Solutions with HCI
Zerto offers a single platform for IT resilience, combining continuous availability, orchestration and automation to ensure uninterrupted customer experience and accelerate multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud adoption. Through this expanded partnership, Pivot3’s entire suite of products will be supported for use with Zerto, bringing the high performance, response, reliability and low-latency infrastructure crucial for IT resilience. Both partners are currently developing and implementing the solution with a large MSP using Pivot3 and Zerto to underpin its DR and data protection offering. Managed and cloud service providers find Pivot3’s policy-based QoS particularly useful and operationally efficient for ensuring guaranteed SLAs to their clients.

In today’s connected world, businesses need to be available to their customers around the clock,” said Peter Kerr, director of technical alliances, Zerto. “The extended Pivot3 and Zerto partnership will bring a new level of sophistication to the IT infrastructure, ensuring that businesses and their customers always have access to critical applications without interruption.”

Bringing Greater Density, Performance and Scalability to Virtual Desktops
Through Pivot3’s partnership with VMware, customers can experience simple and secure desktop deployment and application management on a high-performing infrastructure with the availability of Horizon 7 on Pivot3 HCI. With end users becoming more mobile and using a greater number of devices, managing and delivering services has become increasingly complex. By combining Horizon 7’s management approach with Pivot3, customers can experience superior density and a reduction in footprint, as well as superior end user experience as a result of ultra-low latency NVMe PCIe flash datapath.

Providing the Scalability
Needed to Support Data-Intense Business Analytics Use Cases

Redington Value, a VAD across Middle East and Africa, is now offering an all-in-one analytics platform supported by Pivot3 bundled with Splunk and Malwarebytes to address business analytics and IT security use cases. As enterprises increasingly rely on data to make decisions and proactively manage threats, analytics has become a foundational – yet data-intensive – ingredient. By deploying Pivot3 with Splunk, enterprises are able to experience a scalable and efficient infrastructure for real-time security intelligence and analysis, as well as support the broader analytics needs of the organization.

Data insight and intelligence is a crucial tool for today’s enterprise, but can be a tremendous burden on the IT infrastructure,” said Ramkumar Balakrishnan, president, Redington Value. “We find Pivot3’s QoS especially helpful when working with Splunk data architecture. It allows a single, scalable Pivot3 solution to address all Splunk data needs.”

Pivot3 has more than 2,500 customers in 54 countries, and over 18,000 deployments in healthcare, government, transportation, security, entertainment, education, gaming and retail.
