Cameron Bahar CTO, Veritas
Coming from Huawei and Hitachi
By Philippe Nicolas | February 8, 2018 at 2:12 pmVeritas Technologies LLC continues to evolve as the company tries to fill the gap initiated by Symantec era that finally froze company’s storage developments.
The recent return of a Veritas Software leader Greg Hughes as CEO illustrates this need to adapt and react to market dynamic and potentially to “rebuild” the past spirit. The last CMO, Lynn Lucas, left the company to join Cohesity for the same position and we’re waiting the nomination of a new CMO soon.
Cameron Bahar arrived recently as SVP and CTO. It was not announced and the Veritas web site doesn’t say anything about that, just published on Cameron’s LinkedIn page.
He was CTO and co-founder of ParaScale then moved to Hitachi Data Systems (now Hitachi Vantara) for 2 years following the acquisition as CTO and chief strategist scale-out storage and big data analytics. More recently he stayed 5 years at Huawei as SVP and global CTO for cloud and enterprise storage, leading the R&D storage lab.
