Actifio, Inc. announced a partnership with MDwise, a nonprofit health maintenance organization focused on providing health coverage to individuals and families located in Indiana.

Founded in 1994, MDwise is a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) to more than 350,000 members throughout the state of Indiana, focused on health coverage for Indiana individuals and families. Because it must maintain data records for seven to ten years, they were running regular backups and shipping tapes to physical storage spaces. It was an expensive and time-consuming process. Eventually their backup appliance started to show signs of instability. They also feared data media storage corruption, and data recall ten years in the future seemed uncertain.
