Secure-24 Accelerates Expansion to New Markets

Rubrik, Inc. announced that Secure-24, LLC, a provider of mission-critical application hosting managed IT, and cloud and security services, is leveraging Rubrik’s Cloud Data Management platform to deliver a superior customer experience through automation and API integration.

Rubrik’s Service Delivery business has gained momentum in 2017, with 29 MSPs across North America, Europe, and AsiaPac providing company-powered services to its clients.

Headquartered in Michigan, Secure-24 has been in the managed IT services space for 17 years, working with large enterprises from $1 billion to $10 billion in revenue. It maintains a virtualized IT environment, with tens of thousands of VMs. In the past, the company was challenged by long recovery times using complex legacy solutions.

After deploying Rubrik, Secure-24: 

• Improved recovery times for 10TB VMs from hours to seconds using search and live mount capabilities, replacing multiple legacy solutions and freeing up resources to focus on other areas of IT infrastructure.
• Integrated with ServiceNow using RESTful APIs, allowing consolidation of multiple tools and services into a single software platform and generation of end-to-end automated workflows.
• Can encrypt application data both in-flight and at-rest allowing the company to expand its presence in regulated industries such as healthcare.
• Generated additional revenue resources through facilitating its clients’ transition to the cloud.
• Improved visibility into key performance indicators to analyze data management trends.

In 2018, Secure-24 plans to expand its deployment and add additional appliances. Eventually, the company plans to transfer additional systems to Rubrik as a primary backup solution.

“We have large VMs in our environment, and we had trouble backing them up efficiently using our previous solution. It was very cumbersome to use different tools and procedures for our physical and virtual environments,” said Sean Donaldson, Secure-24, CTO. “We evaluated the entire market for a more modern backup and recovery solution and we were immediately impressed with Rubrik’s robust automation and API integration capabilities.“

Secure-24 takes an automated-first approach to all deployments. Rubrik’s APIs integrate with the company’s internal automation framework and workflow engine.
