E8 Storage HA NVMe Solutions Achieved Record SPEC SFS 2014 Performance Standards

Delivering sub-millisecond overall response time at 0.69ms ORT

E8 Storage Systems Ltd. announced that the company’s performance, HA shared NVMe storage solutions have achieved record SPEC SFS 2014 performance standards.

Without requiring special performance tuning, E8 Storage beat all other previously published SPEC SFS test results using a single E8-D24 appliance with Western Digital Corp.‘s NVMe SSDs in combination with IBM Spectrum Scale 5.0.

Looking deeper into the test results, the firm delivered the only sub-millisecond overall response time at 0.69ms ORT. In addition, the solutions demonstrated higher IO/s and throughput than all other previous SPEC SFS2014_swbuild results. These independently validated results reinforce the company’s commitment to deliver performance, low latency storage and simplified storage management without compromising on reliability, availability or scalability.

This E8 solution is a great example of utilizing Western Digital’s SSDs to create a scalable, high-performance environment for data to thrive,” said Ulrich Hansen, VP, enterprise SSD marketing, Western Digital. “Western Digital’s SSDs are known for leading the industry in performance and for delivering exceptionally low command latencies for fast data applications. Our ability to tune and optimize performance from the raw NAND and throughout the SSD enables us to deliver the consistent performance needed to achieve this breakthrough over an industry standard NVMe interface.

E8 delivers power behind the innovation. With the SPEC SFS 2014 validation and a patented approach, enterprises can confidently implement technology upgrades for performance improvements, while continuing to meet infrastructure requirements,” stated Scott Sinclair, senior analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. “As more and more businesses adopt solid state storage for performance benefits, they can begin to realize investment savings and overall lowered operational expenses.

These results are hugely important for potential customers. They offer hard evidence that E8 Storage solutions can match and exceed the demands placed on storage architectures by modern data centers with data- and transaction-intensive applications,” concludes Zivan Ori, co-founder and CEO, E8 Storage. “Whether E8 Storage solutions are supporting the data warehouses or databases that power financial trading systems, real-time data analytics, healthcare applications or fraud and risk analysis, customers can be confident that the power, scalability and speed is in place to help them extract value from their data quickly and efficiently.
