Qualstar Q8 Entry Level LTO-8 1U Autoloader

Qualstar Corporation announced the Q8, an entry level LTO tape based autoloader that offers density and performance in the 1U space.

It is an entry-level automated backup/archive solution that combines a storage density and performance into the compact form of a tape autoloader. It will offer 96TB native and 240TB compressed storage capacity using LTO-8 tape drives. Combined with a data transfer rate of 300MB/s, this device offers space to capacity and performance ratio.

The Q8 autoloader is available through the company’s established channel of distribution and reseller partners. It will ship with a barcode reader, a rackmount kit, remote management capability and comes with a two-year advance replacement warranty.
