Derren Lu CEO, Synology

Synology Inc. appointed Derren Lu as CEO of the company, effective immediately.

He takes the reins from Vic Hsu, who has contributed to the company’s consistent growth over the past year and expanded its presence in emerging markets. 

“With substantial software development and management experience, Lu has demonstrated outstanding leadership and strategic execution capabilities,” said Philip Wong, founder and chairman. “I am confident Lu will provide his expertise to propel the company forward for the next level of innovation.” 

Formerly the CTO of Synology, Lu has led the company’s product development teams for the establishment of diversified product lines, including networking products and services integrated with public cloud storage. 

“With our competitive products and solutions, we aspire to provide even better customer experience and support,” he commented as he laid out the company’s future strategic plans. “I am looking forward to leading Synology towards an accelerated period of growth.”
