CES: Longsys Displayed SSD, Embedded Storage, Memory Cards and USB Keys

At CES 2018, Shenzhen Longsys Electronics Co., Ltd. displayed their product lines which include the SSD storage, embedded storage, removable storage (memory cards, USB flash drives), micro storage and wireless.

DRAMeXchange, business division of TrendForce Corp. forecasts, PCIe SSD market share in 2018 will reach 50%. The company launches P900 PCIe NVMe SSD in 2017, which adopts the latest 64-layer 3D TLC NAND flash and supports PCIe Gen 3.0×2 and NVMe 1.3. P900 supports HMB (Host Memory Buffer), a DRAM-less architecture SSD which only needs system memory to achieve the same performance as DRAM-based SSDs, while lowering costs and power consumption. Available in two different form factors (BGA /M.2), the P900 PCIe NVMe SSD offers 128, 256 and 512GB capacity options, mainly for the consumer market, VR/AR, smart car, etc.

With higher density, durability and performance, P900 PCIe NVMe SSD’s price will remain in line with the mainstream SSD price, and it will MP in 1Q18.

Embedded storage using latest technologies
High-end storage products for smartphones have moved from eMMC to better-performing UFS. With the development of smartphones, mid-range handsets are beginning to use UFS in order to enhance their product competitiveness.

The company has launched UFS which adopts SMI controller, 3D NAND flash and independent firmware programs, which can enhance the performance and user experience of mobile phones. Its capacity is covered by 32-64-128GB. Because of the strategic cooperation with Qualcomm, MediaTek, Intel and other platforms, the firm’s UFS has better compatibility. Also, the company has professional R&D, and the FAE team can help customers quickly mass production.

In addition, the firm mainstream eMMC adopts 3D NAND flash. At the company’s booth, they was displayed software and hardware customizable eMMC such as small form factor (8x10mm) for smart wearable devices and small capacity eMMC (128-256-512MB) for industrial control, security surveillance and IoT applications.

Consumer memory and industrial memory card
This generation of the firm’s consumer memory card uses SMI controller, supports UHS-I and UHS-II interface, and reads speeds up to 100 and 260MB/s respectively. The video speed class is V30, V60 and V90 which can support 4K, 8K and 3D photography and meet the consumer demand for high-quality video shooting.

On the other hand, the company’s industrial memory card can provide better stability and can work in harsh environments between -40°C to 85°C. This product has encryption technology to ensure data security. Along with pSLC technology, these industrial memory card will improve the write performance six times. In addition, these memory card has a smart function, which can monitor its use in real time and effectively reduce the data loss problem caused by accidents.
