In term of storage, it supports 1TB, 2TB and 4TB of SSD with new controller and up to 128GB of ECC memory, and with four 40Gb/s Thunderbolt 3 ports (USB-C), can connect up to two RAIDs and two 5K displays at the same time.
Dedicated AES hardware encrypts data on the SSD without affecting performance.
Performances are 3.3GB/s read and 2.8GB/s write.
It features 10GbE and uses macOS High Sierra including Time Machine.
