Brocade to cut 300 jobs in San Jose after $5.9B Broadcom acquisition
Brocade Communications Systems is laying off 308 people in San Jose in the wake of its $5.9 billion acquisition by Broadcom Ltd. The layoffs are taking place at Brocade’s three-building office complex at 110, 120 and 130 Holger Way and will go into effect in January, according to filings with the state labor department. Brocade also cut 96 jobs in San Jose in October. The company had about 6,000 employees worldwide, it said in financial reports last year.
