Ravi Rajendran MD of Asia South Region, Veritas

Veritas Technologies LLC appointed Ravi Rajendran as the new MD of the Asia South Region.

In this role, he will be responsible for leading Veritas’ overall strategy, sales operations and new business growth across ASEAN, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

An industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, he joins Veritas from Hitachi Data Systems, where he was the VP and GM for the ASEAN region. At HDS, he played an instrumental role in identifying fast-growing business areas and championing the organization’s business transformation agenda. Under his leadership, the sales, channels, alliances and services teams consistently exceeded their business revenue targets for more than a decade.

Prior to HDS, he was the director of channels at McDATA Corporation for AsiaPac and Japan, where he established a channel and partnership ecosystem in the region. Before McDATA, he was the regional country manager for EMC Corporation in Singapore and emerging markets in South Asia. With his experience in cultivating extensive customer and partner networks, EMC achieved significant gains in market share, especially in the financial services and government sectors.
