German System Integrator STS-Tecom Adding Raidix

To matrix of storage solutions

Storage vendor Raidix Corporation enhances its partner network in Central Europe signing up with German system integrator STS-TECOM GmbH.

The partner ships IT solutions based on commodity hardware to a spectrum of corporate customers, digital content operators, clusters and telco companies. The STS-TECOM clientele includes top five major ISPs in Germany with an aggregated delivery volume of over 45,000 servers.

The Raidix technology is poised to become a reliable software platform for key STS-TECOM solutions: NAS servers, multi-terabyte SAN storage solutions, video storage solutions, and high-scalability cluster-in-a-box systems. Leveraging the Raidix project competencies, the German partner offers its customer base optimal software-defined configurations tailored to specific enterprise tasks and workloads.

STS-TECOM actively cooperates with telecom companies, IPTV content providers, cable operators, and has extensive experience in hardware delivery to video production, broadcasting, and video surveillance segments.

In addition, Raidix provides a host of benefits for servicing colossal sequential workloads:

  • High sustainable performance in the multi-stream mode
  • Support for video formats 4K/8K
  • Maximum throughput required for high-speed shared access to video data
  • Data integrity thanks to the patented RAID levels (RAID-6 with double parity and RAID 7.3 with triple parity).

Moreover, Raidix allows the customer to scale up existing infrastructures by adding new storage nodes on the fly – with no downtime or performance degradation. It offers its partners a scalability, universally compatible solution that unlocks greater margins compared to industrial storage brands. In 2017, the firm and STS-TECOM have implemented a video surveillance project in Central Europe. The partners are rendering tech support and maintenance services, and performing regular software and hardware upgrades in line with growing data volumes.
