ClearSky Data Customers Embrace Hybrid Cloud

Including Barrister Digital Solutions, Diocese of Trenton, Federal Hill Solutions, Miles and Stockbridge, Special Olympics, Enterprise Research Infrastructure & Services

ClearSky Data, Inc., provider of on-demand primary storage with built-in offsite backup and DR as a single service, announced that customers across industries have chosen its hybrid cloud storage as a service to fulfill their DR needs.

Barrister Digital Solutions, the Diocese of Trenton, Federal Hill Solutions, Miles and Stockbridge P.C., Special Olympics, Enterprise Research Infrastructure & Services (ERIS, provider of information services that drive innovation across the academic medical centers of Partners HealthCare) and other organizations rely on ClearSky Data for a single, fully protected copy of their data that is accessible anywhere – on-premises or in the cloud.

When ClearSky Data announced extended data protection capabilities, followed by multi-cloud support through its Cloud Edge offering earlier this year, organizations responded. MSPs, companies and nonprofit organizations saw an opportunity to transform their storage infrastructure and move into the cloud, or provide those benefits to clients. ClearSky Data’s all-in-one service model eliminates the need to manage multiple vendors, reduces IT footprints and lowers TCO.

In almost every industry, organizations are moving away from the CapEx model for storage and looking for consumption-based alternatives that ensure flash performance and include built-in backup and DR,” said Ellen Rubin, CEO and co-founder, ClearSky. “We make that a reality for customers and partners, with a single, durable copy of their data, and an end to replication and secondary infrastructure requirements.

The ClearSky Data service reduces traditional storage costs by more than 50% and puts hybrid cloud within reach, allowing enterprises to run applications where they are best suited, whether that’s in a public or private cloud, or on-premises. The company’s hybrid architecture, flash-level performance and certified security simplify storage infrastructure.

We deliver hybrid cloud storage to our VMware-hosted clients in partnership with ClearSky and Cloudian. Our clients want the economics of the cloud with the same level of performance and security they’ve come to expect from on-premises workloads. With ClearSky, we reduce their costs and have built a cloud foundation with DR into our core service offering,” said Arthur Olshansky, CEO, Federal Hill Solutions and founder of Molnii Cloud, an MSP that delivers hybrid IT services and solutions.

The Federal Hill/Molnii and ClearSky solution allows us to replace on-prem storage with a faster, more efficient on-demand hybrid cloud solution. This is critical for our growing eDiscovery workloads and allows us to provide the security and peace of mind we promise to our legal, corporate and government clients nationwide,” said Nick Bruno, managing member of Barrister Digital, which simplifies litigation support by customizing digital discovery for clients through full lifecycle, premier litigation services.

In the Diocese of Trenton, digital transformation means putting video at the forefront of communications among parishes and with parishioners. We needed on-demand storage with built-in backup and archiving for our produced video programming and event coverage, with easy, rapid access. ClearSky Data delivered, and allows us to eliminate replication and access our video files anytime, anywhere,” said Anthony DeLorenzo, director of computer services, Diocese of Trenton, a large diocese of the Roman Catholic Church which encompasses four central New Jersey counties.

ClearSky Data allows customers like us in the legal industry to move into a true hybrid cloud infrastructure and reduce the cost and complexity of storage, backup and DR for critical data, including eDiscovery,” said Ken Adams, CIO, Miles & Stockbridge, a technology-first law firm.
