IBM FlashSystem V9000 Control Enclosure Model AE3

It supports up to twelve ultra-low latency 3.6TB, 8.5TB, or 18TB MicroLatency modules. The 3.6TB and 8.5TB modules offer performance-optimized, hardware-based compression.
Model AE3 will replace the AE2 enclosure, offering users a path to higher capacity, lower latency, and improved system performance
Key prerequisites
IBM FlashSystem V9000 supports attachment through FC or FCoE/iSCSI to the following servers:
- System x servers
- Power Systems servers
- Flex System
- BladeCenter
- Power System blades
- z Systems servers
- Intel a nd AMD processor-based server
IBM FlashSystem V9000 requires IBM FlashSystem V9000 Software version 8.1, or later, for operation. Use of the software is entitled through the acquisition of V9000 software licenses.
