IBM FlashSystem A9000 leverages the latest 3D-TLC NAND flash technology to deliver improved cost, scale, and density

IBM FlashSystem A9000 integrates the highly parallel architecture, comprehensive data reduction, and performance of IBM FlashCore technology into one 8U storage solution designed for the cloud-scale business.

It is built to accelerate workloads and help reduce costs, increase revenue, meet SLAs.

FlashCore technology, which delivers fast storage response times for data-intensive workloads, forms the all-flash foundation of FlashSystem A9000. Integrated, software-defined capabilities, including data reduction and critical cloud features such as QoS, optimize storage economics and simplify management.

Model 425 for FlashSystem A9000 delivers improved cost, scale, and density, and utilizes the latest 3D-TLC NAND flash technology.

Key prerequisites
IBM FlashSystem A9000 supports FC or iSCSI attachment to the following servers:

  • System x servers
  • Power Systems servers
  • Flex System
  • BladeCenter
  • Power System blades
  • Intel and AMD processor-based servers
