Adata IM2S3148 Industrial-Grade M.2 2280 6Gb SATA SSD

From 128 to 512GB, up to 560MB/s and 530MB/s R/W, temperature range of 0°C to 70°C

Adata Technology Co Ltd. launched the industrial-grade IM2S3148 M.2 2280 6Gb SATA SSD.

Utilizing the M.2 form factor for an fit in various installations and delivering up to 560MB/s read and 530MB/s write, the drive employs durable 3D NAND flash for longevity and improved power efficiency compared to 2D NAND. The IM2S3148 is tested to survive extreme temperatures and humidity as well as provide robust resistance to shocks and vibration. Customers can choose capacities from 128 to 512GB.

Space and power saving efficiency
Thanks to the compact dimensions of the M.2 2280 form factor, the IM2S3148 requires less room than 2.5″ SATA drives. It can therefore better serve users as more proper embedded storage, rather than add-on storage that requires independent power and more intricate accommodation. It takes power directly from the M.2 slot, consuming 2.3W at peak.

Durable 3D NAND
One of the main advantages of stacked flash when compared to older planar memory is increased endurance. Higher density and redundancy mean a longer drive lifespan even when faced with sustained heavy workloads. The IM2S3148 offers up to 512GB of tested 3D TLC NAND, meeting the company’s A+ quality standards. In terms of data speeds, it provides up to 560MB/s read and 530MB/s write via the 6Gb SATA protocol.

Testing assures industrial-grade strength
The IM2S3148 design process mandated certification to a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It can operate normally in 0% to 95% humidity and easily handle up to 20G vibration plus up to 1,500G/0.5ms shocks. It is hardened against electro-static and electro-magnetic interference and supports TRIM command, S.M.A.R.T, and wear leveling for improved data integrity and functionality over long periods of time. These result in an excellent cost-performance ratio.
