36% Average Quarterly Y/Y Growth of Acronis Backup 12.5 in Americas Since July 2016

Company opening technology center in Phoenix, AZ

Acronis International GmbH is offering complete protection for all data through backup, storage, and file sync and share solutions.

At the Acronis Racing Week event in Austin, TX, the company reported strong business growth in the Americas. This includes 36% average quarterly Y/Y growth of Backup 12.5 since the product was launched in July 2016, 1,000% Y/Y growth of Access Advanced, and over 1,000% growth in Backup Cloud billings between Q1 and Q3 2017.

The firm specifically noted that smaller companies are increasingly adopting the Advanced Edition of Backup 12.5. While the Advanced Edition was previously common in the enterprise segment, the small business segment saw 11% average quarterly growth – which illustrates the escalating IT demands felt by businesses of all sizes.

To sustain its customer service and meet the growing demand for backup and DR products, Acronis opened a new technology center in Phoenix, AZ, adding to its other US offices in Massachusetts, Virginia and California.

Acronis innovative technology is easy to sell, because we are the only company that can offer complete data protection for any modern hybrid IT business. We help our partners to convey the benefits of our solutions to their customers through training and professional services. For service providers, we offer easy service integration with all major professional services automation software packages, helping them to retain customers and increase average revenue per user, which is also reflected in our latest Y/Y growth figures,” said John Zanni, president, Acronis.

One of the fastest growing business verticals is automotive industry, which includes manufacturing and motor racing. 30% of new business customers originate from this field. Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula 1 Team provides an example of why data-intensive companies choose Acronis to protect their data. The team deployed Access Advanced earlier this year to ensure security and increased productivity when sharing confidential data with engineers and subcontractors.

Describing the deployment, Raffaele Boschetti, Scuderia Toro Rosso head of IT, said: “With Acronis Access Advanced, we’re in full control of our data. We can track the information path and even remote-wipe a laptop, tablet or mobile device if it is lost or stolen to prevent a competitor from accessing the data. Our plan is to share sensitive data that way.
