HYPERSeries 2000 Hyperconverged Appliances With Built-in DR From Syneto
Supporting 1,440 backups per day for every application and file share
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 19, 2017 at 2:36 pmSyneto S.R.L. unveiled its HYPERSeries 2000, a model in the HYPERSeries range of hyperconverged appliances with built-in DR, allowing small companies to recover their applications and data in 15 minutes.
This model is designed to offer smaller organisations and remote offices, the range of capabilities and services of an enterprise IT infrastructure, including integrated DR, improved application performance, native file sharing and always-on data protection.
“We are one of the first vendors on the market today to offer an all-in-one hyperconverged platform which includes built-in DR, virtual data centre, native file services, and always-on data protection. This all-in-one approach makes the HYPERSeries 2000 very appealing to our target market: SMBs such as accounting studios, law firms, design companies, education providers and manufacturing companies with remote offices,” said Vadim Comanescu, CEO, Syneto.
“We have deployed hundreds of solutions with small companies and we understand how they work. IT is managed by a generalist or it is often externalised. SMBs and ROBOs need a simple and affordable solution to guarantee their IT will not go down during peak activity, and that they can recover applications instantly in the case of a ransomware attack. That is what the HS-2000 was created to do,” Comanescu added.
The HYPERSeries 2000 brings to fruition company’s vision and objective, of decreasing IT complexity, costs, recovery times and data protection problems through hyperconverged infrastructures with built-in DR.
Its benefits are:
-
Integrated DR: 15 minutes RTO for the entire IT infrastructure on the integrated DR unit.
-
Performance: 500% more performance for applications vs. traditional infrastructures
-
Efficiency: 1,440 backups per day for every application and file share
“Syneto promises to help small companies thrive in the digital era with a new, less complex and more feature-rich approach to IT infrastructures. The HYPERSeries 2000 makes good on that promise by delivering a product specifically designed and targeted at SMBs,” said Dragos Chioran, VP, marketing, Syneto.
The HYPERSeries 2000 is comprised of two hyperconverged units: a primary unit on which applications run under normal circumstances and a DR unit, from which all of the applications can be restarted in case of a downtime incident. It automatically backups all virtual applications and file shares on the primary unit every 60s. Backups are then automatically replicated to the DR unit, according to flexible SLAs. Any or all applications can be restarted and used on the DR unit in under 15 minutes, down from the eight hours average recovery time for traditional solutions. When upgrading or replacing their infrastructures, SMBs and remote offices now have a choice: a traditional infrastructure with all of the cost, complexity and pitfalls it carries, or a new all-in-one infrastructure which allows them to recover nearly instantly, from digital age perils such as ransomware.
Ultimately, traditional IT infrastructures are built with complex, expensive, hard-to-scale and manage components, while the firm’s HYPERSeries solutions cut capital and operational costs by 50% against a comparable traditional infrastructure, increase application performance by 500% and recover from a disaster 480 times faster than a comparable traditional solution – a compute server (dual CPU, 64GB of RAM), a switch (1GB) and a dual controller SAN/NAS with a hardware RAID controller that has 4GB of cache, 8 disks and no R/W flash caching capabilities.
After unveiling the HYPERSeries 3000 in the spring of 2017, an all-in-one hyperconverged system designed to address the data management, virtual application deployment, usability and data recovery challenges that businesses face today, the company wanted to bring these capabilities within the reach of smaller organisations. It has now delivered on this goal with the HYPERSeries 2000.
At peak performance, applications running on the HYPERSeries perform 5 to 20 times faster when compared to VMs deployed in a traditional infrastructure.
The technology inside the HYPERSeries ensures that up to 90% of an application’s data is served at nanosecond speed directly from the RAM memory. With its performance, data protection and space efficiency technologies, the HYPERSeries 2000 can outpace traditional infrastructures.
It is equipped with the SynetoOS 4, the company’s OS which provides hyperconverged IT services. This version of OS improves instant backup and recovery, IT infrastructure recovery and reduces management complexity.
The HYPERSeries 2000 can be ordered from October 15.
