This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 18, 2017 at 2:42 pmDriveSavers Data Recovery, Inc., in data recovery, eDiscovery and digital forensic solutions, announced it is offering free data recovery for residents of Sonoma, Napa and Lake counties, CA whose computers and phones were damaged in wildfires that began October 8, 2017.
DriveSavers engineers are experts at saving data like photos and videos of loved ones, business files and financial records.
“These fires have literally hit home for us,” said DriveSavers president Scott Moyer. “With a third of our employees living in Sonoma or Napa counties, many have been displaced or had to evacuate. Some have tragically lost their homes. One of the fires is just 10 miles away. The air outside our building is thick with smoke and ash is falling everywhere. As we’ve offered assistance in the past to victims of floods, fires and natural disasters, we are once again providing our services at no charge-this time for our neighbors in need.“
Fire victims from Sonoma, Napa and Lake County with fire-damaged devices need to contact DriveSavers no later than November 15, 2017. There is a limit of one device per business or household. Customers needing additional recoveries, and those with multi-disk devices such as RAID and NAS devices, are eligible for a 50% discount off of regular service fees.
DriveSavers will accept as many devices that it can. However, the number of free recoveries may be limited based on workload, cost of parts and availability of personnel. Advisors are available 24/7.
