Rob Juncker SVP of Product Development, Code42

Was senior director of R&D at VMware.

Code42 Software, Inc., in cloud-based endpoint data protection and recovery, announced that Rob Juncker has joined the company as SVP of product development.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in security, cloud, mobile, and IT management. In previous roles, he helped evolve companies from IT management technologies to security-focused solutions.

We are thrilled to have Rob join our team. His leadership skills and his deep technical acumen will ensure that Code42 continues to build quality products for the world’s best brands,” said Joe Payne, president and CEO, Code42. “Rob’s experience in both Information Technology and Information Security will be instrumental in helping us expand our data security solutions for our customers.”

With the continuously evolving threat landscape, IT teams across the enterprise are changing how they think about security perimeters and structure. In his role, Juncker will focus on leading, mentoring, and growing the software development and delivery teams. This includes accelerating product innovations into real-time visibility for organizations through cloud-based endpoint data protection and recovery.

I’m thrilled to join a team that is proud of the high-quality products they produce. It’s the hallmark of what Code42 delivers, and you can see it in how loyal the company’s customer base is,” said Juncker, “Minnesota, or the Silicon Tundra as I like to call it, is a shining star for innovation and providing a new approach to the market, and has some of the best engineers in the country. I’m looking forward to bolstering the technology innovation talent at Code42 and continuing to deliver world-class products to customers.”

Before joining Code42, Juncker was VP of R&D at Ivanti, in the security and IT management space, where he worked on projects from cloud-delivered analytics to hybrid cloud security. His portfolio included products and technologies from the AppSense, LANDESK, Heat Software, and Shavlik product organizations. Prior to Ivanti, he was senior director of R&D at VMware Inc. In this role, he led numerous product teams inclusive of their security line of guest OS patch management solutions and their VMware Go cloud-delivered virtualization platform.

In his spare time, he spends time shuttling his three ice hockey and lacrosse-playing children between rinks and fields, or watching his Stanley Cup-destined Minnesota Wild play. He and wife Sarah also allocate time and resources for giving back to the local community through a number of charitable endeavors.
