Zstor European Channel Partner of E8 Storage Systems

For NVMe storage appliances

Zstor GmbH has been selected by E8 Storage Systems Ltd. as their first European channel partner for their NVMe storage appliances.

This completes company’s NVMe flash portfolio and HA storage appliances to continue its track record of offering high-end NVMe solutions. The firm has more than two years of experience with NVMe solutions

Since the introduction of NVMe, the firm has developed, configured, and installed NVMe solutions for transaction-hungry IT applications. Within private data centers in banks or insurance companies, as well as online booking and shopping systems, the demand for centralised NVMe storage appliances is increasing to deliver performance and scalability for mission critical systems. The company delivers tailor-made and application-optimized solutions and offers SSD and HDD solutions that meet customer requirements for performance at a low TCO. In addition to all-flash solutions based on enterprise SAS or SATA SSDs, the firm focuses on NVMe-based JBOF arrays and appliances that offer performance and low latency on par with local NVMe SSDs.

NVMe appliances by E8 Storage
The company is extending its NVMe solution portfolio to offer HA storage appliances from E8 Storage, an enterprise storage company offering  NVMe solutions. It delivers simple, centralized storage management at the speed of local SSD, without compromising on performance, ease of use and reliability. E8 Storage is for performance, low latency workloads such as real-time analytics.

Through our partnership with E8 storage, we are adding a reliable technology partner to our NVMe portfolio that delivers high performance, scalability and reliability for accelerating mission critical application performance,” says Helmut Kopel, MD, Zstor. “With E8 Storage NVMe appliances we can deliver centralized, low latency storage over converged ethernet for a high performance, scalable solution at a much lower cost of ownership than local NVMe drives built into each server.

Flash-in-a-box
The E8-D24 appliance offered by the company is a HA appliance with no single point of failure in the hardware and software architecture, and is for transaction-intensive applications. Dual-ported, RAID-6 protected enterprise NVMe SSDs are directly accessed by the host servers via RDMA over 100GbE for performance with low latency. In addition to the E8-D24, NVMe product portfolio starts with entry level solutions application-optimized and scalable NVMe-Flash arrays (JBOF) for direct connection to servers and server farms or just NVMe cards for use in local servers.

E8 Storage NVMe appliance brings Intel Optane’s performance on road
The company keeps on increasing its know-how through its cooperation with E8 Storage, which will launch a E8-X24 storage appliance with even higher performance and lower latencies based on dual-ported NVMe SSDs from Intel Corp. (Optane) in the near future.
