He brings over 25 years’ experience to HDS Federal, including a background in the government and commercial sectors leading corporate finance, operations management, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partner relations.
He will oversee financial and business operations for HDS Federal including corporate controllership, treasury, tax, IT, and customer support services. He will also serve on the company’s executive team and report to HDS Federal’s president and CEO, David Turner.

Prior to joining HDS Federal, Serway served as CFO for Govplace, Inc., a government technology solutions provider. From 2008 to 2013, he served as SVP and CFO at Akima. Earlier in his career, he held progressively senior positions with Employment Enterprises, Paradigm Solutions, Lockheed Martin IT, Getronics Government Solutions, Babcock & Wilcox and Boeing Computer Services.
He earned his M.B.A. in Finance from Averett University and B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from James Madison University.
