Mark Thurmond COO, Turbonomic

Turbonomic, Inc. announced that Mark Thurmond has joined as the company’s first COO, reporting to Benjamin Nye, CEO.

Effective immediately, Thurmond will drive and ensure operational excellence across firm’s global sales and enablement, partner and strategic alliances, customer success and marketing operations to better serve and support customers and partners – from prospecting and selling, through implementation and ongoing success.

The appointment reflects company’s commitment and investment to global customer and partner success as the company continues to grow customer segments, industries and help organizations transition from on-premises to a hybrid cloud world.

Thurmond is a technology industry veteran with IT infrastructure and cloud domain experience. He joins Turbonomic from his most recent position as EVP at Qlik Technologies, where he led worldwide sales and services. Prior to that, he held global sales and operations leadership positions for multiple business units within Boston-based EMC, including RSA and VCE (all now part of Dell Technologies). Prior to EMC, he held sales leadership positions in Europe and Asia at PTC.
