DriveSavers Offers Hurricane Harvey Victims Free Data Recovery of Wet Phones and HDDs

Until September 15, 2017

DriveSavers Data Recovery, Inc. will provide free data recovery services to Texas residents who have lost data as a result of Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Austin, Corpus Christi and all other affected areas.

The company is donating time, resources and years of expertise to retrieve data from water-damaged HDDs, smartphones, tablets, laptops and other storage devices.

DriveSavers is known worldwide for recovering data from severely traumatized devices including those that have been dropped, burnt, crushed and fully submerged in water,” said Scott Moyer, president, DriveSavers. “We’re pleased to offer our expertise to those who’ve lost irreplaceable data like photos and videos of loved ones, business files and financial records.

The free recovery service is available for victims of Hurricane Harvey. Because exposure to water and air cause corrosion on electronic circuitry, customers must contact DriveSavers and ship their device no later than September 15, 2017. There is a limit of one device per business or household. Customers needing additional recoveries, and those with multi-disk devices such as RAID, NAS and SAN devices, are eligible for a 50% discount off the regular service fees.

DriveSavers will accept as many water-damaged devices that it can. However, it may limit the number of free recoveries based on the company’s workload, cost of parts and availability of personnel.
