ClearDATA Expands AWS Service Delivery Portfolio

As healthcare organizations continue to migrate their IT infrastructure and data to the cloud, ClearDATA Networks, Inc., a healthcare managed cloud provider, has expanded its portfolio of AWS solutions.

While the additions address a range of needs, all help healthcare organizations achieve better cost containment and newfound agility in a rigorously secure cloud setting.

The additions include AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora. By offering these services, ClearDATA further helps its customers optimize AWS to accommodate even the largest data sets and transaction volumes. When paired with ClearDATA’s healthcare security and privacy expertise, these digital assets are protected with fortress-like security.

New services enable rapid migration and market entry
The added tools help ClearDATA customers streamline, or in some cases, cut out altogether, time-consuming IT administrative and development tasks that delay deployment of important applications and services.

Detailed description of each service:

• AWS Lambda: Allows customers to run code without provisioning or managing servers. Customers can run code for virtually any type of application or backend service, all with zero administration.
• Amazon DynamoDB: A fast and flexible NoSQL database service for all applications that need consistent, single-digit millisecond latency at any scale.
• Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL: Manages complex and time-consuming administrative tasks such as PostgreSQL software installation and upgrades; storage management; replication for HA and read throughput; and backups for DR. Amazon RDS PostgreSQL partners deliver new implementations, migrate AWS customers to Amazon RDS PostgreSQL, or build tools compatible with Amazon RDS PostgreSQL.
• Amazon Aurora : A MySQL-compatible relational database engine that combines the speed and availability of high-end commercial databases with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of open source databases. Amazon Aurora partners deliver new Aurora implementations, migrate AWS customers to Amazon Aurora, and build tools compatible with Amazon Aurora.
