Mobile HDDs: Demand for mobile HDDs was seasonally soft, and unit shipments decreased by 11% from quarter-to-quarter to 35.04 million units. Higher 1TB volumes drove up average capacity from 1,001GB to 1,035GB for the quarter, but despite higher average capacity, the lower unit shipments impacted total capacity shipped, and exabytes dropped to 36.27 for the quarter. Revenue for the segment declined to $1.63 billion, or down 10% Q/Q. ASPs were up flattish at $46.

Desktop HDDs: Desktop HDD sales were also affected by seasonal desktop PC sales, and unit shipments declined to 22.50 million in 2CQ. Total revenue for the segment improved nearly 13% from the prior quarter to $2.33 billion.
