Ravi Naik SVP and CIO, Seagate

Had same position at SanDisk.

Seagate Technology LLC announced that Ravi Naik has joined the company as CIO.

 

 

He brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience to Seagate, having led technology deployments and teams at companies around the world, including at SanDisk and HP.

Ravi’s unique experience with technology hardware and storage players, combined with his highly collaborative and involved leadership style, will be a welcome addition to Seagate’s leadership team,” Seagate president and COO Dave Mosley said. “His experience working in both large, multi-national corporations and start-up environments gives him a unique perspective on how to maximize IT capabilities and security systems for Seagate in a world defined more and more by devices and data.

Prior to joining Seagate, Naik was the SVP of technology at Katerra, a technology start-up in the construction industry which is transforming the way buildings and spaces come to life. Before Katerra, he was SanDisk’s CIO. He began his career in 1993 in India, working for HP, where he focused on ERP. He joined 3Com in 1997, and spent the next seven years there leading software development teams implementing ERP, web applications and supply chain systems. In 2005, he joined Mercury Interactive to lead a major ERP implementation for that company. He remained with Mercury after its acquisition by HP in 2006 to help lead technology integration efforts. In 2007, he joined SanDisk to lead an ERP implementation and was eventually appointed as CIO, remaining with the organization through its sale to Western Digital in 2016.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Mumbai.
