All Suppliers Projected to Post Flat-to-Lower Results HDD Sales

  • 3.5-inch desktop/CE HDDs: Total desktop/CE HDD shipments (including 3.5-inch HDDs) sales tracked seasonal demand trends were slightly down in CQ2 approximately 33-34 million units.
  • 2.5-inch mobile/CE HDDs: Slightly softer notebook demand was offset by seasonal increases in gaming HDDs. As a result, 2.5-inch mobile/CE HDD volumes ended around 48 million units.
  • 3.5-inch/2.5-inch enterprise HDDs: For a third consecutive quarter, total enterprise sales were lower sequentially, led by performance enterprise declines. Nearline HDD volumes were flattish, resulting total quarterly enterprise shipments for the quarter of around 15-16 million.
