DataStax Opens Office in Tokyo, Japan

Alan Anderson named country manager.

DataStax, Inc., a provider of data management for cloud applications, announced the opening of a new office in Tokyo, Japan.

Companies throughout AsiaPac and Japan (APJ) are undergoing rapid change in response to digital transformation, rising customer expectations, and the lightning fast pace of business that define the economy.

DataStax provides the data management layer that powers every critical aspect of business.

It already has a strategic customer base in Japan, including Komatsu Ltd and Yahoo! Japan, and is opening its new office to serve more customers, provide greater support for local partners, and expand its operations in this market.

Japanese businesses know that their most important asset is their data and they are coming to us to help manage it in an increasingly complex, cloud-driven technology landscape,” said Billy Bosworth, CEO, DataStax. “Japanese companies face intense competition to deliver outstanding customer experiences, operate smarter and more efficiently, and innovate in everything from back-end operations such as supply chain management through customer-facing applications and delivery. We are their ideal partner to make digital transformation possible, successful, and simple.

DataStax, in close collaboration with Microsoft Corp., will host local partners at an event on July 6 in Tokyo, which will feature a guest partner and customer speakers from Azure, UL Systems, Inc., and Komatsu. The event will enable local partners to build solutions and services on DataStax Enterprise (DSE) to keep pace with customer demands and maximize customers’ success with their cloud applications and digital transformation initiatives. Additional information in Japanese is available from Microsoft here. Microsoft is a DataStax customer as well as partner and knows firsthand how to make the most of DataStax technology. It uses DataStax Enterprise to make Office 365 an experience for millions of its customers.

Case study on this is available on Microsoft’s website.
