Aviatrix Partners With Nutanix

Aviatrix, Inc., in hybrid cloud networking, formed a technology, sales and marketing partnership with Nutanix Inc.

Aviatrix also announced a joint solution with Nutanix that allows enterprises to automate connectivity between hyperconverged private cloud environments and popular public clouds.

The joint solution leverages Aviatrix Cloud Interconnect (ACX) software and the Nutanix Calm multi-cloud orchestration software to enable Nutanix customers to extend their datacenter networks into AWS, Azure and other public cloud services.

“Most of today’s enterprise public cloud deployments operate as isolated application silos where the network isn’t necessarily an issue,” said Steven Mih, CEO, Aviatrix. “But as enterprises move more of their applications to both public and private clouds, it becomes too difficult to establish and manage networking connections among the various public cloud silos and with the datacenter. Together, Aviatrix and Nutanix provide a single pane to orchestrate compute, storage and secure network connectivity across hybrid clouds.“

Aviatrix and Nutanix Tackle Hybrid Cloud Challenge
“Analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates, Inc. (EMA) has found that the top networking challenge enterprises face when implementing a hybrid cloud architecture is the complexity of provisioning interconnections between public and private cloud resources,” said Shamus McGillicuddy, senior analyst, network management, EMA. “Provisioning a direct VPN connection to a single public cloud environment is notoriously complex. Aviatrix’s solutions aim to eliminate that complexity by turning the process of building a global multi-cloud network into a point-and-click exercise.“

By making cloud networking as fast, flexible and agile as cloud computing, the joint solution will enable enterprises to deploy and run their mission-critical workloads and data at any scale-across both private clouds and public clouds-without being limited by any component of their IT architecture.

The bundled solution will enable enterprises to: 

• Deploy hybrid clouds in minutes: Aviatrix brings one-click hybrid cloud networking to Nutanix datacenters, so that enterprises can dynamically set up, access and begin using public cloud infrastructure services within minutes, without the need for specialized networking expertise or command-line interface (CLI) knowledge.
• Orchestrate hyper-converged hybrid environments through single pane: Calm orchestration capabilities coupled with Aviatrix hybrid cloud networking technology allow enterprises to orchestrate compute, storage and secure network connectivity to applications through a single-pane management layer.
• Overcome current limitations to running business-critical workloads in hybrid cloud environments: The homogeneous architecture and IT fabric provides a secure hybrid networking layer that allows enterprise applications to work across private and public clouds.

The bundled solution from Nutanix and Aviatrix will be available on the Nutanix Marketplace as well as through Nutanix and Aviatrix sales and channel partners. More information on availability, bundle options, supported deployment configurations and pricing will be available in July 2017.
