ProphetStor in Europe Soon

Guillaume Imberti to be GM for EMEA

Started in 2012 in Milpitas, CA by former FalconStor executive Eric Chen, ProphetStor Data Services, Inc. continues its product development and market expansion.

Other executives are:

  • Sunny Siu, chief strategy officer and president of APAC operations,
  • Walter F. Curti, CTO,
  • Alan Chen, VP of engineering and
  • Jeremy Wei, VP of business development.

Curti, Alan Chen and Wei have worked in the past also at FalconStor.

The company has received $10 million last February by Ai Holdings Corporation, having signed at the same time a distribution agreement with them in Japan.

The first appearance of the company was during OpenStack Summit in Hong-Kong in November 2013 where the company unveiled its storage federation solution Federator.

Today, the company develops and promotes four products:

  • Federator to unify and aggregate various internal and external storage exposing block and file interface.
  • StellarFlash in two appliance flavors with all-flash and hybrid block storage arrays.
  • DR Prophet to provide BC/DR with local and remote data copy based on snapshot, mirroring or replication technologies.
  • DiskProphet to offer an analytics view of the disk storage environment to prevent data loss for any kind of disk storage.

ProphetStor has decided to launch the EMEA operations and entrusted the management to Guillaume Imberti.

 

He has a strong track record in building EMEA operations having demonstrated his capabilities with companies in the past such Cirrus Data Solutions, FalconStor, Veritas Software, Seagate NSMG, CA Technologies and Cheyenne Software.

Recently, he was VP and GM at Cirrus Data Solutions from January 2013 to Mai 2016, before he spending 10 years at FalconStor where he led sales and then global European operations. During his tenure, he grew the team to 80 people and sustained a 57% CAGR in revenue. Previously, he was MD channels for South Europe after the merger of Seagate NSMG with Veritas Software. Before that, he was at CA Technologies after the acquisition of Cheyenne Software.

To start operations right away, Guillaume Imberti just added two other heads reporting to him:

  • Guy Berlo, VP Sales Central EMEA,
  • Thomas Barrett, VP Sales North EMEA,
  • and the leader for South EMEA leader will arrive soon.
