IBM Storage Networking MDS 9000 Family 32Gb 48-port FC Switching Module delivers predictable performance and scalability with innovative capabilities to enable private and virtualized data centers

With 768 line-rate 32Gb FC ports per director, the 32Gb 48-port FC Switching Module (feature code 3649) meets the high-performance needs for flash and NVMe over FC workloads.

These needs are met through services like VM awareness, on-board FC analytics engine, E and F port diagnostics, integrated VSANs, Inter-VSAN Routing (IVR), and port channels.

This switching module delivers a full-duplex, aggregate performance of 1,536Gb/s making it a choice for high-speed 32Gb/s storage subsystems, 32Gb/s Inter-Switch Links (ISLs), high-performance virtualized servers, and all-flash and NMVe arrays.

In addition, 32Gb/s shortwave and longwave SFP+ transceivers are now available for ordering on MDS 9700 Series Multilayer Directors.
