Zhejiang Uniview Technologies Became Quantum Reseller

Quantum Corp. announced that Zhejiang Uniview Technologies Co. Ltd., one of the top three video surveillance system integrators in China, has agreed to become its VAR and strategic alliance partner.

Uniview offers a line of IP video surveillance products, including IP cameras, network video recorders, encoders, decoders, storage and client software and applications, covering such vertical markets as retail, building, education and municipal government. Uniview will sell Quantum’s full range of scale-out tiered storage products, enabling customers to manage the transformation in surveillance technology and the massive growth in surveillance data.

China: Largest market for video surveillance enterprise storage by 2018
According to industry research firm IHS Markit, the market for enterprise storage used in security and video surveillance in China is projected to increase at a 26%  CAGR between 2014 and 2019. At this rate, it expects China to overtake the US as the largest market in the world for this type of storage by 2018.

Video surveillance is undergoing rapid change with the accelerated adoption of HD cameras, longer retention times for video-based data and the implementation of analytical tools. Storage costs can force customers to compromise in one or more of these areas.
