This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 1, 2017 at 2:53 pmOne Stop Systems, Inc. (OSS) introduces the ExpressBox 3T-V3, an expansion chassis with three full length PCIe slots.
The EB3T-V3 features plug and play installation and can support any combination of x1, x4, x8 and x16 PCIe cards. The chassis features a hot swappable cooling fan and users can control fan speed and noise. It can provide up to 300W of power.
It is designed to match the throughput available with Thunderbolt 3 and the majority of PCIe cards on the market.
The expansion chassis contains three PCIe slots connected to the computer through a Thunderbolt 3 cable. Add up to three PCIe cards to Magma ExpressBox 3T-V3 and your Thunderbolt 3 equipped computer turns into a audio/video editing or scientific workstation.
“Magma ExpressBox 3T-V3 provides a seamless solution for using PCIe cards with Thunderbolt 3 enabled computers,” said Steve Cooper, CEO, OSS. “Many companies have a significant investment in PCIe cards but as the size of computers gets smaller, available expansion slots have been reduced or completely eliminated. The Magma ExpressBox 3T-V3 system provides a migration path to Thunderbolt 3 enabled computers while protecting your investment in PCIe hardware.“
“Thunderbolt 3 running at 40Gp/s is the fastest connection to the PC, enabling new usages“, said Jason Ziller, director, Thunderbolt marketing, Intel Corp. “Products like One Stop System’s Magma ExpressBox 3T-V3 help highlight what Thunderbolt 3 makes possible.“
Price and availability will be announced later.
