Areca ARM-64-bit Drivers for Cavium and APM Platform

By completing the driver test, Areca can delivers RAID adapters that have been worked with the Cavium and APM platform.
Areca is a Taiwan-based RAID card manufacturer that supports x86 platforms by providing different drivers for plentiful of operation systems more than 18 years.
As the ARM 64-bit based platforms are getting more popular, mature and involving more companies into the field. Areca has been a good hand to build ARM 64-bit drivers on two platforms such as APM and Cavium and it shows the company is able to support different platforms in various operation systems. ARM 64-bit platform users should leverage Areca’s achievement on x86 platforms to find themselves the best deal/offer.
On Cavium and APM ARM-64-bit platforms, there are two main features:
- Drivers are built in an EFI shell commands and are able working under AMI BIOS. It runs Centos on APM platform and Centos, Suse and Ubantu OS on Cavium Thunder X platform.
- Users may feel that (it is easy to setup in) x86 environment because the configurations have included booting on RAID drive.
