Synology C2 is our commitment to provide a comprehensive storage and backup solution under one trusted name, ensuring our user’s data is handled with the high level of expertise that Synology is renowned for,” said Vic Hsu, CEO, Synology.

The company has set up its first data center for Synology C2 in Germany.

“Synology C2 makes up for the insufficiencies of generic public cloud services, and empowers DSM users with a console designed specifically for the management of NAS backups, with granular recovery, dashboard monitor, and client-side encryption – the combination of which has never before been made available for a NAS server,” said Jia-Yu Liu, senior manager, cloud and backup division.

Synology C2 Backup beta program
For the beta launch of Synology C2, the company will be offering a free beta trial of its C2 Backup service.
Available only for DSM users in Europe, the free service will be available on a first come, first served basis. Participants in the beta program will benefit of an online cloud storage space of 1TB, including 11 versioning of their backup, for a period of three months, after which Synology C2 Backup will become a paid service on official release.
