BlueMind has joined forces with OpenIO, and the company’s storage system, to launch a ‘Made in France’ open source messaging system that is easy to deploy, and that offers TCO.
Both firms have been involved in large storage infrastructures and messaging platforms, and are both committed to open source software and privacy protection. These two French companies have been working together for many years on open source email servers, and have a great deal of production experience in large-scale email systems in France.
The two firms are joining forces to offer a comprehensive offer for the French market, which is integrated and easy to operate. This new offer is designed to provide a storage system at a low cost, essential for large-scale messaging solutions. It also provides easy rollout within existing client infrastructures in France, allowing them to retain full control over their users’ data.
This offer combines:
- A collaborative messaging system which includes email, calendars, contacts, instant messaging, thick clients, and mobile device synchronization;
- A massive object storage system to store email, offering flexibility and competitive TCO.
“We are delighted with our partnership with BlueMind. Our teams worked together to develop a Made in France solution that we can offer to our existing clients, as well as for new messaging projects, at a very competitive TCO,” said Laurent Denel, OpenIO co-founder and CEO.
“With prestigious customers such as Thales and Airbus D&S, this partnership underscores BlueMind’s growing stature in the messaging market. This joint project allows us to meet the growing needs of web hosts, large companies, and government organizations,” added BlueMind CEO Pierre Baudracco.
OpenIO SDS 16.10 is designed to manage billions of objects of any size, including small objects like emails.
BlueMind 3.5 provides a collaborative messaging solution that offers full control of user data, at low cost.
