JSS Medical Research Deployed EnduraData EDpCloud
To synchronize medical research data between severs in Canada and Colombia, South America
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on February 28, 2017 at 2:34 pmEnduraData, Inc. announced that JSS Medical Research, Inc., a medical and health care research organization, deployed EDpCloud to synchronize medical research data between servers in Canada and Colombia, South America.
JSS Medical Research, a worldwide Contract Research Organization (CRO) headquartered in Canada, deployed EDpCloud file mirroring software to move, sync and backup data automatically and securely, with 100% integrity, between servers in its multiple locations.
While evaluating other solutions, the synchronization and backup of JSS’s files were often interrupted less than half-way through the initial synchronization, requiring JSS to restart over from the beginning.
EDpCloud, EnduraData’s high-speed, cross-platform file replication software solution, allowed JSS to replicate, sync and backup their data in approximately 24 hours and without any major interruptions.
“EDpCloud synchronized data between our main office in Canada and our office in Bogota in a fraction of time of the other solutions we were trying to use before,” said Titus Tucan, senior network administrator, JSS.
Because EDpCloud software is a cross-platform, low overhead, secure and automatic file replication software solution, it transfers data efficiently. Thus, backup and synchronization is completed at high speeds. This reduces windows of vulnerability.
“Our customers achieved a huge gain in transfer speeds and drastically reduced costs and lowered risks of data loss and of data leaks,” said Mike Praus, VP, EnduraData.
Since JSS deals with clinical research studies, it is also important that they use a file mirroring software solution that could transfer data between multiple locations without major disruptions. Furthermore, EDpCloud recovers quickly from any interruptions and resumes from where it left off before any network failures.
With EDpCloud bidirectional windows file sync software, any data that changed in Colombia is also updated in Canada and vice versa, effectively mirroring the servers.
“EnduraData’s support was very helpful in assisting us with configuring and in getting the project finished on time and on budget,” said Titus.
“This is the first time that we were able to complete the synchronization of over 2TB of data and over two and a half million files back and forth daily between the two countries,” concluded Titus.
