Powered by an Xeon D-1531 six-core 2.2GHz processor (burst up to 2.7GHz), RS18017xs+ delivers performance with over 4,800MB/s sequential read throughput and 568,000 sequential read IO/s when used with six 10GbE Link Aggregation enabled (1). It comes with 12 drive bays supporting 3.5″/2.5″ SAS/SATA drives in a 2U rack chassis, two 10GBase-T and four 1GbE ports, optional 10GbE NIC support, and provides storage scalability up to 96 drives with the expansion unit RX1217sas or 180 drives with RX2417sas.

RS4017xs+ leverages an Xeon D-1541 8-core 2.1GHz processor (burst up to 2.7GHz), delivering high performance with over 4,900MB/s sequential read throughput and 690,000 sequential read IO/s when used with six 10GbE Link Aggregation enabled (1). Being the first company’s RackStation in 3U chassis design, RS4017xs+ provides 16×3.5 inch SATA drive bays for storage capacity. With two firm’s RX1217/RX1217RP expansion units connected, a combined total of 40 drive bays can be arranged for storage management.
RS18017xs+ is equipped with 16GB DDR4 ECC RDIMM (upgradable to 128GB), and RS4017xs+ is equipped with 8GB DDR4 ECC UDIMM (upgradable to 64GB), ensuring data integrity when handling high-value data. The two RackStation servers support the company’s HA and offer a suite of redundancy mechanisms including system fans and network ports with failover support. Redundant power supplies are also available on the RS18017xs+ and RS4017xs+ to maximize system up time. RS18017xs+ and RS4017xs+ both provide seamless storage solutions for virtualization environments including VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, and OpenStack.

RS18017xs+ and RS4017xs+ run on DiskStation Manager (DSM), a NAS OS that offers a range of applications to bring productivity at work. RS18017xs+ and RS4017xs+ are also backed with 5-year limited warranty and Synology Replacement Service (SRS).
RS18017xs+, RS4017xs+, RX2417sas, and RX1217sas are available worldwide.
