New Californian Storage Company Discovered: Aparavi

Launched by people from NovaStor Software

We have never heard until now about a company named Aparavi based in Santa Monica, CA.

There are some information on its web site. On the first page you can read: “APARAVI comes from the Latin Apparare, which simply means to prepare. We exist to prepare businesses, and their data, for compliance in the new world architecture. An architecture where petaByte is the new teraByte, where on premise is an option not a requirement. APARAVI is built from the ground up to protect what matters most, on premise, online and in the clouds.”

And also:
“APARAVI is the software platform that provides a secure policy-driven, easy to integrate, open format solution, because we believe in zero button data retention. A software solution without the limitations of the box. Built for hybrid and cross cloud compatibility with open data retrieval. Here are a few ways we ensure you stay on budget and ahead of the game.

  • Policy driven: Policies can either be set once by the administrator or control can be handed to specific teams, and can be automatically inherited from the platform to ensure that no critical data is missed.
  • Full REST API:Native REST API means the program can integrate wherever necessary.
  • In-file dedup and delta block incrementals: Manage storage locally and in the cloud, we utilize in file dedup to remove identical portions of individual files, as well as delta block incremental forever technology to ensure only the changed portions of files are moved offsite.
  • Hybrid-cross compatibility: Any-cloud any-time for ultimate flexibility. Even allows you to copy between clouds and prune data at rest in the cloud.
  • Patented smart data recovery: Allows you to select a time/date and the software will seamlessly recover that file from any combination of local, offsite or cloud storage – wherever it is, the fastest possible source.
  • Multi-tier multi-tnant design:Any number of stakeholders can be given full or restricted access to the platform inorder to offer a service to, resellers or directly to your end users.”
