Synology Exhibited Latest Wi-Fi Router, NAS Applications, Integration With Seagate IronWolf Health Manager

Wireless router RT2600ac
The company will showcase its latest wireless router RT2600ac, the successor to the RT1900ac which earned the CES 2016 Innovation Honoree Award. Equipped with 2.5Gbps combined wireless bandwidth and MU-MIMO support, RT2600ac is powered by the Synology Router Manager (SRM) operating system, which allows users to monitor and control bandwidth consumption, protect their network with intelligent tools, and install useful applications, like VPN Plus, cloud station.

Visitors could explore DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6.1, the OS for firm’s NAS series, discover a collection of productivity tools to enhance team collaboration, or learn about setting up a home video surveillance system with Surveillance Station 8.0 and the native Surveillance Station Client for desktop computers. In addition, the firm showed off several business-oriented products, such as the FS3017, DS3617x, RS4017xs+ and RS18017xs+.

Synology and Seagate Technology plc announced they are working together to bring IronWolf Health Manager (IHM) to company’s DiskStation Manager (DSM) 6.1 natively. This feature leverages the hardware sensors and software suite built into IronWolf HDDs to provide intelligent analysis of drive health that goes beyond traditional diagnostic tools. Upon launch, this feature will be exclusively available on firm’s NAS.
