The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “Storage systems, carriers, enclosures and support PCBs connecting to a first storage device of a first form factor such as a hard disc drive, (HDD), a dongle within a storage carrier coupled to the first storage device, and a second storage device such as a solid-state drive, (SSD) coupled to the dongle having a second form factor different than or smaller than the first form factor.“
The patent application was filed on April 30, 2015 (14/701,191).
